Adele has added a pair of extra dates to the North American leg of her world tour.
The extra shows will take place on August 20 and 21 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, with tickets going on sale at 10am local time this Friday (July 29). Including the new shows, Adele will now be playing eight dates at the 19,000-capacity L.A. venue.
The new dates mean that the Adele Live 2016 tour, which began in February and continues until November, will now comprise 107 shows, all in Europe and North America. Adele's well-received Glastonbury headline set last month (June) was among the notable stops on the rour, which also included eight dates at London's 20,000-capacity O2 Arena.
During a gig in Amsterdam last month, Adele performed an impromptu snippet of 'Spice Up Your Life' by the Spice Girls. At the same gig, she also pulled up a supposedly random fan on stage only to recognise her as the daughter of her former celloist, whom she hadn't seen since the fan was a toddler.
During the tour, Adele has also played host to marriage proposals, had selfies taken on stage with numerous fans, and even offered to be the surrogate mother of a child born to gay couple.
