Calvin Harris has made his first public statement after he was injured in a car crash in Los Angeles.
Harris was the passenger in a Cadillac when it collided with a Volkswagen Beetle last Saturday (May 21). The producer suffered cuts to his face in the crash and had to cancel two concerts.
He has now cancelled two further shows, on Thursday evening (May 26) at his residency at Las Vegas club Hakkasan and tonight (May 27) at the nearby Omnia club.
Harris tweeted on Thursday: “Thank you so much for your messages, and sorry for any disappointment I caused with the show cancellations. I’m feeling lucky and very grateful right now.”

A message posted on Facebook by Harris’ management said he was “still recovering from his injuries”, causing the latest cancellations. He is now due to resume performing on June 3 at Omnia.
Harris recently released new single ‘This Is What You Came For’, a collaboration with Rihanna following the success of their ‘We Found Love’ pairing. Before the crash, Harris had hinted more new music would be released shortly.
Harris’ residencies at Omnia and Wet Republic in Las Vegas run until September. They’re interrupted by UK festival shows at Wireless, T In The Park and Creamfields.
